BIG TALK  - Thomas Nugent

English in the morning at EBEC-Canela : The CONVERSATION course that’s right for you. Improve your speaking and listening abilities. Fun but focused, BIG TALK will help you communicate better. We’ll use lots of music, video and games in the classroom. What are you waiting for?  You’ll get an EBEC certificate at the end of each semester.

Classes in the morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

TOEFL+ — Thomas Nugent
You need to improve your English if you’re going to study or work in Canada, the U.S. Great Britain or Australia. Let’s get ready .Maybe you’re going to stay in Brazil. Many jobs require proficiency in English. In this course we’ll focus on studying for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). We will also work on all the skills you need to survive in the English – speaking world.

Classes at night on  Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays  and  Thursdays.

Thomas is a Canadian who was raised in the bilingual (English and French) culture of Quebec, Canada . In his native country he worked as an environmental  consultant and entrepreneur. Thomas moved to Brazil in 2001 and has been teaching at EBEC for five years.

ENGLISH EXPRESS CONVERSATION – MICHAEL D. LYNCH

CV-I | CV-II | CV-III  | CV-IV — An alternative approach to language learning. This dynamic course helps students to express themselves in English, in a relaxed atmosphere. Communication activities centered on current news, American culture, survival English and psychological questionnaires. There is also an emphasis on listening comprehension and video which prepares the student to understand general information and to focus on key points. Essential for Exchange Program candidates and those who want to keep in contact with the English language. No homework. EBEC certificate at the end of each semester.

PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH – MICHAEL D. LYNCH

Professional English I - A general English course with a focus on business. It is a course for lower intermediate  learners who want to review and develop English for their work, social and travel needs.  Besides reviewing basic grammar structures, students will train: reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Professional English II is for intermediate/upper intermediate learners who want to improve their English communication skills in the key areas of business: participating in meetings, telephoning, emails, negotiating, presentations and socializing.

Classes in the morning and at night from Monday to Thursday.

Michael was born in the USA. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Graphic Arts Advertising. In Brazil, he has been teaching privately and at EBEC since 1985.
