COOL CONVERSATION AND LISTENING – Janet Fisher

CCL-I – CCL-II – CCL-III – CCL-IV Dynamic and fun course especially designed to develop students’ speaking and listening abilities, with a wide range of up-to-date discussion topics and materials. Includes music, video, and interactive activities guaranteed to increase students’ conversational techniques and listening awareness, while learning lots of new and useful vocabulary. EBEC certificate at completion of semester.

Classes in the morning, afternoon and at night on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Janet is originally from Virginia, U.S.A . She grew up in different parts of the world, which led to a profound interest in the cultures and customs of other countries. A former model and musician in the U.S. , she has been a teacher at EBEC and has been giving private courses in Salvador for more than 15 years.

TOEFL PREPARATION COURSE - Thomas Nugent

If you want to study in an English-speaking country such as Canada or the U.S., this is the course for you.
The course is intended to prepare students for the TOEFL (Test of English as a foreign language), an English proficiency test required by a wide number of colleges and universities. The course will help students achieve high test score as well as broaden their general knowledge of English. Over a million people take the TOEFL test each year. Let’s get ready.

Schedule: Tuesday & Friday – 6:30 – 7:45 p.m.
Saturday mornings (to be arranged)

Thomas is a Canadian who was raised in the bilingual (English and French) culture of Quebec, Canada. In his native country he worked as an environmental consultant and entrepreneur. Thomas moved to Brazil in 2001 and has been teaching English at EBEC for two years.

ENGLISH EXPRESS CONVERSATION COURSE - Michael Lynch

CV I / CV II / CV III / CV IV - An alternative approach to language learning. This dynamic course helps students to express themselves in English, in a relaxed atmosphere. Communication activities centered on current news, American culture, survival English and psychological questionnaires. There is also an emphasis on listening comprehension and video which prepares the student to understand general information and to focus on key points. Essential for Exchange Program candidates and those who want to keep in contact with the English language. No homework. EBEC certificate at the end of each semester.

Michael was born in the USA. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Graphic Arts Advertising. In Brazil, he has been teaching privately and at EBEC since 1985.
